A point of interest…

The Xi Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is putting on a program next week entitled the “Death of Ay Shawty.” This program is one that members and supporters of the Lambda Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. should definitely attend because it talks about appreciating instead of degrading women.

We have found ourselves in a culture where it has become acceptable to approach a female any kind of way. This program is designed to remind women of the power they posses and to encourage them not to settle for just any and everything. The sooner we “kill” this nonsense, the better of we will be as a society.

  1. I believe that its really good that Xi Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is carrying about this program, given that it is time that women start respecting themselves more in order for men to respect us as well. Things have changed over the years, and change is good; however in my opinion the way in which women are approached now in days with such a lack of respect has to come to an end. It is true that we women have the power to make men do whatever we want, (without abusing though), so we should use this power to change and demonstrate that we can become role models for the future generations to come.
